.: professional :.
Even from a young age, I've always been a bit of an entrepreneur. In high school, I founded a successful web-design company catering to the small-to-medium business marketplace. As a private technology consultant and Director of Campus Technology for the University of Texas, I've tackled problems that most students never have the chance to encounter. I learned how to prioritize technological dilemmas and cut costs when I was appointed as a member of the Information Technology Advisory Committee. Outside of school, my work experience has given me the opportunity to be a part of large businesses like Amazon.com, and small companies such as TRACLabs. After receiving a Department of Defense security clearance, I contributed to several projects while working at a government-contracted research laboratory. In 2005, I was the single national recipient of the Käthe Wilson Scholarship, which enabled me to study for a summer in Germany.
